Privacy Policy

Lexidash is a vocabulary game for iPhone. We built it to collect as little as possible. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What stays on your iPhone
Your learning progress, streaks, word history, rival record and settings are stored on your device. We never see them.
What our server keeps
When you play online (quick match or a friend room), the app creates a guest player on our server. It keeps:
- Your player name and color. Names are made up by the app from word lists, so they can't contain real names or personal details.
- Your rating and match results: scores, wins and who you played.
- Recorded runs: which answers you picked and how fast. Other players may race a copy of a run as a "ghost," shown with your player name.
- A private key the app uses to sign in as your guest player. It is stored in your iPhone's keychain and only a scrambled version is kept on the server.
To stop abuse and runaway costs, the server also counts how many new players each network creates per day. It stores a one-way scrambled version (a hash) of the network's IP address for that count, not the address itself. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the service, and keeps short-lived request logs.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, daily reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. They are not sent from our server.
Age
Lexidash uses Apple's age range feature to adjust the experience for younger players. Apple shares only an age range with the app, never a birth date, and we don't store it on our server. Because we don't collect names, contact details or free-typed text, we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
How we use it
Only to run the game: matching players, scoring, ratings, ghost races, daily limits, and keeping the service safe. We don't sell or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Our server runs on Cloudflare (Workers, Durable Objects and D1 database) in the United States. Apple provides the App Store and notifications.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your guest player until you delete it. In the app, open Me, tap the gear and choose Delete account. This removes your player, match results and recorded runs from our server right away. Daily counters, including the scrambled network addresses, are deleted after 7 days. You can also email support@lexidash.com to ask what we hold or to have it deleted.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change affects what we collect, we'll tell you in the app first.
